Adding to a series of acquisitions in 2016, ClubCorp, the owner of over 200 sports clubs, business clubs, alumni clubs and private golf and country clubs, has added Heritage Golf Club in Hilliard, Ohio to its portfolio of clubs.
ClubCorp says it plans to spend more than $1 million to improve the suburban Columbus clubhouse, golf course and practice facilities. Heritage features 18 holes designed by golf course designer P.B. Dye. Amenities include a clubhouse that offers casual and upscale dining, plus private event space that accommodates up to 250.
“The value of ClubCorp’s Network, ClubCorp’s knowledge of the industry and their commitment to excellence and to capital improvements can only improve upon Heritage’s club traditions,” said Dan O’Brien, developer of Heritage Golf Club and co-owner for more than 20 years. “ClubCorp is the ideal fit for the members, employees and the community.”
Other ClubCorp owned clubs in Ohio include Firestone Country Club and Silver Lake Country Club in Akron, Quail Hollow Country Club and The Club at Key Center in Cleveland, and the Dayton Racquet Club in Dayton.
ClubCorp is ranked No. 4 on the Club Industry’s 2016 Top 100 Health Clubs list with 2015 revenues of $1.1 billion
